Changes in waste collection from 2020

What is changing?

Residual waste: You receive a new container. The current small bucket is being replaced by a larger 140-liter container. This container is emptied once every 2 weeks as usual.

Garden waste: Garden waste is no longer collected separately. This is combined with Vegetable, Fruit and Garden waste (GFT). You keep the same container. It may be that you then have 2 containers for GFT. Due to the expiry of the route for garden waste containers, collection days for organic waste may change. Therefore, download the app from my waste guide so that you are always aware of the correct collection days.

And further:

The chemo cart disappears. You can dispose of the Small Toxic Waste on the waste station for free.
Red waste bags for extra residual waste disappear.

What doesn't change?

PMD (packaging of plastic, metal or drinking cartons): the PMD container remains as usual.
Food scraps: if you have a small bucket for food scraps, you will keep it.
Diaper and incontinence material: the collection of diaper and incontinence material continues via the current bucket.
Paper and cardboard: nothing changes for the collection of the old paper and cardboard.

Exchange containers

You will soon receive a separate letter with more information about when you will receive your new container. It also describes how the current buckets for residual waste are exchanged for a residual waste container of 140 liters. Keep an eye on your letterbox!

Changes on the waste station

From January 2020 you pay by PIN on the waste station for your paid waste. You will therefore no longer receive an invoice for this. You will still receive a bill for paid waste that you have brought to the waste station in 2019.

Direct payment by PIN is only possible if you also have an milieupas. So do not forget this when you visit the waste station. Do you not have a milieupas or have you lost yours? Then request a new one by calling the Waste Service Desk on the free telephone number 0800-243 82 46.

Do you bring paid waste to the environment? Then you can bring this for the first four times for free with a maximum of 2m3 per visit.

Pay attention! If you only have a garbage bag with, for example, residual waste, this already counts as one free visit. So keep this in mind.

The opening times are also adjusted to:

Monday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Tuesday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Wednesday 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Closed on Thursdays

Friday 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
